Food Tour in Barcelona

If you want to enjoy a true gourmet experience that combines fine food and history, this is the guided tour for you! We will have 3 stops, where each one will have something unique from Spain to offer. On one of them we will try pintxos, typical from the Basque Country; in another we will have the classic catalan tapas, and on our last stop we will relax with some vermut (vermouth). On this tour we will visit the famous Casa Vicens, Gaudís first commissioned project.

Gràcia is one of the places with the largest gypsy community in Barcelona, where Catalan rumba was born during the Sixties. Catalan Rumba is without a doubt as much part of Catalan identity as the typical folk dance Sardana or Castellers, the human towers. Gràcia is a little bit outside the busiest part of the center, this neighborhood has managed to keep local. It has a relaxed and bohemian atmosphere, but still holds its village kind of feel.

Our experience includes:

  • Professional local guide
  • Walking Tour of Gràcia
  • 2 Typical tapas from Spain
  • 1 Pintxo from the Basque Country
  • Vermut in a typical catalan bodega

Points of interest:

  • Casa Vicens
  • Mercat de la Llibertat ( Local food market)
  • Plaça de la Vila
  • Plaça del Poble Romani
  • Town hall
  • Bell tower

Walking Food Tour in Gràcia

Gràcia is a low-key district of Barcelona with narrow streets and vibrant squares, full of organic grocery stores, artist studios and galleries, outdoor cafes and much more. Gràcia is a neighborhood for everyone; students will find amazing second hand book stores, families will be able to find beautiful parks around the squares for the little ones, couples can enjoy a romantic date in a cozy restaurant and after go to listen to some live jazz. Gràcia is a town of its own!

One of The Barcelonian Day Tours is our gastronomic Gràcia Tour, perfect to get out of the crowded city center. We will show you the authentic Barcelona through its Spanish cuisine on this unique tour with three stops: Pintxos from the basque country, classic catalan tapas and at our last stop you will enjoy some delicious vermut!

A little bit outside the busiest part of the center, this neighborhood has managed to keep local in spite of the huge interest towards it. Gràcia is a district of the city of Barcelona, Spain, it is made up by the neighborhoods of Vila de Gràcia, Vallcarca i els Penitents, El Coll, La Salut and Camp d’en Grassot i Gràcia Nova. Gràcia is bordered by the districts of Eixample to the south, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi to the west and Horta-Guinardó to the east.

At The Barcelonian we believe in sustainable tourism and authenticity, we accomplish this with small groups, our Gràcia Tour is never larger than 15 people per group and we only provide this unique tour twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30.

Gràcia was once a separate village from the city of Barcelona and was not fully incorporated into the city until 1897. This is why the Gràcia neighbourhood still has narrow village streets and a special village feel and charm. Which makes it such a unique district of the city.
